We want to share with you some invaluable tid bit advice
that some of you have submitted:

CAT ADVICE

Elizabeth White
Play with your kitten's paws, tail, ears, all of them right from the start. They will get used to your handling and be much easier to wash and trim claws later on. Not to mention love you for your constant attention
John Brum
Always keep your pet’s water dish full and clean.
Katherine Clark
Shave all the knots that accumulate on the underbelly.
Kim Donnelly
Use your pets favourite blanket/throw on the chair it likes to sleep on and take it with you when you leave home. Put the blanket where you want your pet to sleep and it will protect the property of the person you are visiting and help your pet know where it is allowed to sleep.
Sarah Bays
Regularly brush your cat (or dog) with a dampened brush or comb to trap the hairs and dirt easier, this is great for allergy sufferers!
Tonya Wagenaar
Brush your cat on a regular basis - not only does it help with shedding, but it's also a small thing to do to show them your love!!

DOG ADVICE

Andrea Burnett
Consistency!!!  Make sure you choose one word for the action and only use that word, and everyone in the home must follow this....your pup will be an angel!
Carol Pinkerton
To help rid of fleas give your dog a bit of fresh crushed  garlic in its food every now then works great .
Heather Douglas
Trouble clipping your dog’s nails?  Get your dog used to having their paws touched by daily stroking their paws so when it comes to that dreaded paw clipping there will be no problem.
Iris Nixon
Brush your dog daily and look for ticks and fleas before they cause an illness.
Kimberly Graham
My dog has fairly long hair. To prevent it from getting matted, I use conditioner on him after shampoo and rinse thoroughly, then I brush him at least every 2 days. This also helps to spread his natural oils to keep his skin from drying out.
Kyle Ushock
Patience, patience, patience... dogs learn by positive reinforcement.  If he does something right make a big deal out of it and reward him right away.  If the behaviour is not what you want, correct it immediately and try again.
Lynn Lilje
While feeding my dog she always ate way to fast and sometime would vomit but adding a ball to her feeding bowl it slowed her down and we no longer have problems.
Maureen Nash
I'm passing on the best and easiest advice I've ever received for a dog. If your dog has diarrhea or loose stools, give them a spoonful of pure pumpkin (canned is fine) The fibre firms it up and the best thing is... it's all natural.
Ruth Pickering
When bathing my dog, I find that using a microfibre piece of fabric absorbs far more water than a standard towel which leads to less water shake off!
Tina Bossley
Brush your dog just five minutes a day and brush their teeth just one minute a day.  If not - it will cost many $ and your pet will be sad.  :(
Xingji Zheng
Brush your dog's teeth regularly to prevent dental disease.
