Participation in this contest constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Contest Rules.
Contest is open to current Bosley’s VIP Members and New VIP Members who have activated their Membership online and proceed to submitting the Contest Entry Form between the contest dates and times indicated below. Must be a BC Resident and 19 years of age to enter. One entry per person/email address. Contest Participants are required to correctly answer a Pet Nutrition Education question correctly to be included in the draw. 23 Grand Prize Draws of $150 Bosley’s Shopping Sprees. (one per Bosley’s location) No purchase necessary. Entry Dates: June 22, 2010 – August 2, 2010. Chance of being selected as a winner depend upon number of eligible entries received. HOW TO ENTER
To participate in the contest, you must activate your new or existing VIP Membership online and be logged in to fill out and submit the Contest Entry Form. (Membership is Free). You may visit www.bosleys.com/vipmembership to sign up or activate your account online. Proceed to Contest Form at www.bosleys.com/contest .
1. No purchase necessary.
2. Entries may be made Online by completely filling out the Contest Entry Form on the Bosley’s website at www.bosleys.com/contest between 12:00 am on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 to 11:59 pm on Monday, August 2, 2010, 2010 (Pacific Standard Time). To qualify for the Shopping Spree draw, the Contest Form must be filled out in its entirety, including name, email address, phone number and postal code and answer the nutrition education question provided in the comments section of the contest form. (See question below) A valid email address must be provided. Entrant must also indicate nearest Bosley’s store location.
Contest Question: "What is the three letter abbreviation for the ingredient in Eukanuba that beneficially stimulates the growth of good bacteria in a dog's digestive tract?"
3. Only one (1) entry per person/per email address. All entries become the property of Bosley’s Pet Foods Inc. (the “Sponsor”). Any individual who attempts or otherwise encourages, directly or indirectly, the entry of multiple or false contact information under multiple identities, or uses any device to enter or encourage, directly or indirectly, multiple or false entries, as determined by the Sponsor, will be disqualified. In the event of a dispute about the identity of an entrant, the registered account holder of the email account associated with the online entry will be deemed the Contest Entrant.
4. By entering the Contest, entrants agree to comply with and be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor which are final and binding in all respects. Failure to comply with these Official Rules may result in disqualification. All entries that are incomplete, illegible, altered, tampered with, submitted through illicit means, or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of these Contest rules will be declared invalid.
5. If the Contest is cancelled, modified, suspended or terminated, which the Sponsor reserves the right to do in its discretion if factors beyond its control make the Contest unable to be administered as planned, notice will be posted on www.bosleys.com/contest.
ELIGIBILITY
6. The Contest is open to Bosley’s VIP Members, current and new who have activated their account online and fill out and submit the Contest Form between the dates and times indicated above. Contest participants are required to answer the contest question correctly to be entered into the draw.
7. Contest is open to residents of British Columbia, Canada only, and who are aged 19 years or older.
8. Employees, or any other representatives of Bosley’s, marketing partners, suppliers, advertising or promotional agencies, and the immediate family members (mother, father, brother, sister, son, daughter, spouse) of, or persons residing in the same household as any such person, ARE NOT eligible. All federal, provincial, local laws and regulations apply. Participation in this Contest constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Contest Rules. Participants who do not comply with these rules are subject to disqualification.
PRIZES AND WINNER SELECTION
9. There are twenty-three (23) $150 Bosley’s Shopping Spree prizes available to be won. Winners are not responsible for any sales taxes associated with prize awarded.
10. Bosley’s reserves the right to substitute any of the prizes in whole or in part with a prize of equivalent retail value in the event a prize or a component thereof is not reasonably available at its discretion. Specifics of prize package are subject to availability and Bosley’s discretion.
11. Random draws will be conducted on or about Thursday, August 5, 2010. One random drawing will be conducted for each of the 23 store location “pool” of submissions that have answered the question correctly. (Entrants are required to submit their nearest Bosley’s store location on contest form to enter). Chances of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received by 11:59 PM Pacific Standard Time August 2, 2010.
12. Following the draw, the potential winners will be notified by email at the email address provided in the entrant’s Contest Entry Form. Return of a prize or prize notification as undeliverable, or inability of Bosley’s to contact a potential winner by email within forty-eight (48) hours of selection, may result in disqualification of such potential winner, and an alternate winner may be selected by random drawing at Bosley’s discretion. In the event a winner declines a prize, Bosley’s may, at its discretion, select an alternate winner by random draw. Shopping Spree must be undertaken by August 31, 2010.
13. Before being declared a winner, each selected entrant must:
a. respond to the prize notification email within 48 hours of transmission;
b. correctly answer, unaided, a time limited, mathematical skill testing question provided on the affidavit and release form referred to below;
c. sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release Form stating that he/she:
i. has read, understands and complies with the Contest Rules;
ii. releases and discharges Bosley’s, the Contest organizers and suppliers of products or services related to the Contest, and their respective advertising, promotion and production agencies and other agents or representatives and;
iii. consents to the announcement by Bosley’s of the winner's name, address, photograph, likeness, voice or statements for advertising and promotion purposes without any further compensation to the winner.
14. Should the selected entrant fail to comply with any of the requirements set out in paragraph 11, the prize will be
automatically forfeited and another entrant will be selected by random draw.
PUBLICITY, PRIVACY
15. By submitting an entry, entrant grants Bosley’s permission to use his/her name, public profile, photograph, voice, and likeness in connection with the promotion of this Contest, and entrants waive any and all claims and/or right to receive any compensation for Bosley’s use thereof. By submitting an entry, participants consent to Bosley’s collection, use and disclosure of the personal information provided in contest entry form for the administration of the Contest. Entrant’s information that Bosley’s collects will not be disclosed to third parties. All personal information collected as part of this Contest is collected, used and disclosed in accordance with the British Columbia Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and other applicable legislation for the purpose of administering the Contest. DISCLAIMER AND LIABILITY EXCLUSION
16. Bosley’s, and their respective suppliers of prizes, products or services related to the Contest, advertising, promotion and production agencies and other agents or representatives will not, under any circumstances, be responsible for, or liable to any Contest entrant or any other person for:;
a. any erroneous, lost, damaged, late, incomplete, misdirected, deleted, defective, or altered Contest entries,
regardless of the cause;
b. any failure for any reason whatsoever of the selected entrant to receive a prize notification email;
c. any changes in email addresses or email address assignments after Contest entry forms are submitted;
d. any computer, online, telephone, or technical malfunctions or errors that may occur, regardless of the cause; or
e. any injury, loss or damage of any kind arising out of participant’s participation in the Contest or the acceptance, possession or use of the prize, including without limitation any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this contest.
17. Bosley’s extends absolutely no representations or warranties in respect of the prize. If for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as planned or if the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Contest is corrupted or adversely affected, including by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond its control, Bosley’s reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the electronic portion of the contest and randomly select the winner from previously received entries. Bosley’s reserves the right to amend the terms of this Contest or cancel the Contest at any time before the deadline for receipt of entries, at its sole discretion if any factor interferes with its proper conduct as contemplated by these rules.
18. Winner, by acceptance of his/her prize, agrees to release Bosley’s, the Contest organizers and their respective suppliers of prizes, products or services related to the Contest, and advertising, promotion and production agencies and other agents or representatives from any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership or use of the prize or while preparing for, participating in, and/or traveling to any prize related activity.
19. Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions made by Bosley’s in respect of any aspect of the Contest which are final and binding in all respects on all entrants.
20. Participation in the Contest constitutes acceptance and agreement to these Contest Rules.
