Franchisee Requirements
- The Bosley’s franchise system requires the personal involvement of the franchisee in the day to day operations of the store.
- The total investment required will vary depending on many factors, including the size of the store, leasehold improvements, landlord inducements and equipment requirements, sales levels and inventory requirements. A typical store will require unencumbered capital of at least $150,000 to put it on a sound financial footing.
- A franchisee must have business experience, retail experience preferred, and financial strength. A franchisee must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and enjoy dealing with the public, having a strong love of pets would be desirable.
- A franchisee must live within one hour's driving distance of the franchise store.
- A franchisee must be able to handle the physical demands of operating a pet store which requires the handling of heavy pet foods and litter and being on ones feet for much of a day. The store will be open 7 days per week for most weeks of the year.
- A franchisee must be prepared to operate within the guidelines of the Bosley’s system in order to present a consistent operating presence established by Bosley’s in terms of look, feel, and customer service and product offerings.
